ERIK ALSTAD | OWNER, MASTER CERTIFIED INSPECTOR

"I understand the cause of problems because I’ve corrected them in other homes. This results in reports that truly evaluate a home’s condition and ensures buyers can make a safe decision."
Erik Alstad began his building career with Archadeck, one of the world's leading deck construction companies. His success building, selling, and managing construction projects led Archadeck to make him "an offer he couldn't refuse" ... International Consultant to construction franchise owners throughout the U.S., Canada, England, and Japan. In looking back on that position, Erik recalls: "I loved traveling; I loved the construction business; and I loved helping people - it really was the perfect role for me at that time in my life."
Over 6,000 Homes
After Archadeck, Erik started his own construction business and expanded into all facets of home improvement. As with any good leader, at the beginning he was involved in all aspects of the business, especially in the construction work.
As a result, Erik has personally evaluated, improved, or managed the improvement of over 6,000 homes. He truly knows houses - from the nails out, and from the roof in.
Home Inspector
The personal, hands-on knowledge gained over his career enables Erik to be an exceptional Home Inspector.
He sees problems other inspectors miss because, just as he knows construction, he knows DEconstruction. That is, houses tell stories: they give subtle signals when things are about to go wrong, and after looking at over 6,000 homes, Erik knows how to read those signals. As a result, he doesn't just see problems that exist right now -- he sees problems that will occur if nothing is done to prevent them. He reads the warning signs that Inspectors without his construction experience may miss.
